Art & Design Research is an open-access journal, ensuring that all published articles are freely available to researchers, practitioners, and the public worldwide without any subscription or paywall barriers. By adopting an open-access model, the journal promotes global knowledge dissemination, interdisciplinary collaboration, and wider research impact.

To cover the costs associated with editorial processing, peer review, digital archiving, and publishing infrastructure, an Article Processing Charge (APC) of $400 applies to accepted papers. Authors retain full copyright under a Creative Commons license (CC BY 4.0), allowing unrestricted sharing, reproduction, and citation, provided proper attribution is given to the original work.
